The Employment Court has granted an interim injunction delaying redundancies at Ports of Auckland.
The decision says the port cannot take further steps in the redundancy process or engage with contractors until after a judicial settlement conference on Monday.
The Maritime Union went to the Employment Court claiming Ports of Auckland had not followed the correct process when deciding to make 292 workers redundant.
Ports of Auckland is owned by the council, and the council has told the port to double its dividend from 6% to 12% over five years.
