The Maritime Union of Australia yesterday formally cancelled the planned industrial action at Melbourne’s East Swanson dock after the challenge by Patrick.
After Patrick launched legal action with Fair Work Australia to rule the proposed industrial action illegal, the union has dropped the plans in Melbourne.
Industrial action will still take place at other docks around the country, and was expected to hit terminals from today.
