Truck drivers in Australia are reporting delays of up to three hours, following DP World’s installation of its new N4 Terminal Management System in Sydney.

ATA NSW’s container section chair, Mike Moylan, said drivers have experienced delays since Sunday, when the new system was switched on:

We are now into the third day of problems at the DP World terminal. From what ATA NSW can gather, the problems are due to a terminal operating system that has no direct relationship to road movements. … It’s clear DP World is not interested in helping operators determine the length of delays at the port. Its TruckCam system (available on the Sydney Ports website), which can be used by operators to determine wait times, is displaying images from over two weeks ago.

Mr Moylan said it’s time for Sydney Ports to step in and take control of the port’s operations.
