Commercial space on the ground floor of San Pedro’s Centre Street Lofts will be turned into business offices for the International Longshore and Warehouse Union, Local 13. … George Lujan, Local 13 president, said some 40 people will work in the offices, which will be open Monday through Friday. It will be the central place where union members can go to pay their dues or take care of any other employment-related business. “That building’s going to be a standout when we open the doors,” he said.
