Chinese truckers protest in Shanghai
Yesterday the Journal of Commerce reported that:
Chinese truck drivers are striking this week in Shanghai due to rising fuel costs and increased fees charged by private warehouse operators.
Police increased their presence Thursday in the Boashan district, a busy port in the city of Shanghai, where a 40-truck blockade is preventing goods from entering the dock area. Several truckers were arrested Wednesday for vandalizing trucks by breaking windows.
