Seattle’s Terminal 18 was the site of a national TV broadcast Monday morning. CNBC’s “Squawk Box” financial news newscaster Carl Quintanilla did a five-minute interview with Seattle Port Commission President Bill Bryant, ILWU Local 19 President Cam Williams, and SSA Marine Vice President Bob Watters.
Williams reported a the positive outlook going forward and said, “Through the labor union that provides a workforce to the waterfront here, we saw a significant increase in man hours and put a lot of people to work in 2010.”
Bryant said the U.S. needs to invest in the national road and rail system in order to facilitate the movement of cargo to and from the Midwest.
