International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI) expected a strong finish for 2010 and is bracing for the start of its latest project, the operation of the container/ break-bulk facility at Terminal 6 in Portland, Oregon.

Philippine-based ICTSI marked as a significant milestone in 2010 the winning of the 25-year lease for the container/ break-bulk facility at Terminal 6 in Portland, Oregon.

Port of Portland is the ICTSI group’s first foray into the United States. “We will take over the operation of Terminal 6 in February 2011,” Enrique Razon Jr., ICTSI chairman and president.

Elvis Ganda,the chief executive officer and general manager of ICTSI Oregon, was former president of California United Terminals Inc. in Long Beach where he led the company successfully through the $1.5 billion Middle Harbor Development Project.
