A containership belonging to Ocean Network Express is being rerouted to the Port of Tacoma after containers collapsed on board during a transpacific voyage.
A Customer Advisory dated October 30 said the MV One Aquila “suffered collapsed containers due to severe weather conditions” as the vessel was en route to Long Beach, California.
As a result, the ship has been diverted to Tacoma, Washington, where a survey will of the vessel will take place. The ship’s estimated arrival at the Port of Tacoma is November 6.
It wasn’t immediately clear how many containers were involved or if any had fallen overboard.
