Environmental attorney Tracy Egoscue has been named president of the Port of Long Beach Harbor Commission and will preside over the board’s next meeting, scheduled for Aug. 13.
Egoscue, a former Deputy Attorney General for the State of California, was chosen by her board colleagues on July 23 to serve in the presidency for a year. She takes over the role from Lou Anne Bynum, who remains a member of the five-person body.
Egoscue was appointed to the first of two possible six-year terms on the board by Mayor Robert Garcia in September 2014. In addition to Egoscue, the board also chose Bonnie Lowenthal as its incoming vice president and Frank Colonna as secretary.
