The container volume handled by Georgia’s ports jumped by 25.6 percent in April, making five months in a row that they recorded double-digit growth. The number of containers moving through Georgia’s ports, mainly at Savannah, increased to 134,734 from 107,230 in March. Export containers continued to lead the recovery, posting a 30.4-percent increase.
