From the March 28 News Tribune:
A longshore worker was recovering from minor injuries Thursday he received while he was lashing down containers on a ship at the Port of Tacoma’s Husky Terminal Wednesday night.
Port spokeswoman Tara Mattina said the worker apparently missed a step while climbing and fell to the ship’s deck. The ship was “K” Line’s Chiswick Bridge.
The injured worker was placed on a back board by firefighters and lifted off the ship using a terminal container crane. Lifting the worker off the ship with the crane was preferably to carrying him down the gangway by hand because it was smoother and quicker, said the spokeswoman.
