Sanders said he expects the gap between him and Hillary Clinton in California to diminish as more returns come in and says he will take his fight to the last primary, which is next Tuesday in Washington, D.C.
Sanders avoided hitting Clinton during the speech and congratulated her on her wins. Instead, he focused on Trump.
With more than a third of the votes counted, the gap between Sanders and Clinton at press time was more than 20 points.
