From the Ventura County Star:

The small deep-water Port of Hueneme saw business boom as the result of labor problems at the Port of Los Angeles, which experienced slowdowns last year, according to Port of Hueneme CEO Kristin Decas. Revenue was $15.3 million in 2015-16, up from the projected $14.9 million.

On the horizon are improvements to refrigeration facilities, which will begin next year. The port is also looking at building a $50 million parking structure to increase its ability to handle auto imports. There are also plans to purchase adjacent land for port operations, which is expected to cost another $10 million.
