From the Long Beach Press Telegram:
This fall, a major terminal at the Port of Los Angeles will be able to make its container-handling cranes taller to make room for larger ships coming to the nation’s busiest seaport.
The Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners on Thursday night unanimously approved raising 14 cranes at APM Terminals.
When construction is completed, the cranes at Berths 401-404 will be extended by about 32 feet and each boom extended by about 10 feet.
