Longshore worker injured in fall at Port of Longview

A union longshore worker was injured Thursday night after he fell 20 to 40 feet onto a dock at the Port of Longview, union and fire officials said Friday.

Responders from Longview Fire arrived at the port’s Berth 6 about 8 p.m. to find other dock workers tending to the man. He was later flown to Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver for treatment, according to Longview Fire.
