Canada's been investing heavily in improving the Port of Prince Rupert's access to the American Midwest.
The Canadian province of B.C. says it has wrapped up one of its busiest construction years ever as it bolsters infrastructure to support growing trade with Asia.
About $1.5 billion in construction projects were completed this year in the province, mostly dedicated towards improved rail infrastructure for CN and CP Railways.
The province also announced it has committed $15 million towards the planned Port of Prince Rupert development.
