New CEO at Maersk Line

Søren Skou was recently appointed the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Maersk Line. The appointment will be effective January 16, 2012.

Previously, Skou has been the CEO of Maersk Tankers for the last 10 years. Skou was with Maersk Line in various positions from 1983 through 1998. He replaces Eivind Kolding, who is leaving Maersk Line and a member of the Executive Board to become Chairman of the Executive Board of Danske Bank.
