A Rainier man was the 213th person arrested since the ongoing Port of Longview union dispute began this summer. The 39-year-old longshoreman faces charges of second-degree criminal trespass, obstructing a train, second-degree burglary and sabotage. The burglary and sabatoge charges are both felonies that stem from his alleged participation in a Sept. 8 gate breach and vandalism at the Port’s EGT terminal. He is also accused of helping to block a train at the Port on Sept. 7
He was arrested around 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 27 while picketing in Longview. Out of the 213 protest-related arrests 53 people have been booked into jail. Ten of these charges were for felonies.
