Union dock workers announced Wednesday they approved a new one-year agreement with six Pacific Coast grain exporters that includes pay increases, full medical benefits and a pension plan.
The International Longshore and Warehouse Union will keep jurisdiction and staffing levels at the six terminals in Seattle, Tacoma, Vancouver and Portland, according to the new agreement, which was reached after two days of negotiations.
