Union dock workers, responsible for handling 80% of the port’s trade, took their legal battle to the high court amid fears of the rising privatization of the industry, according to Costa Rica’s Tico Times.
In August, the Cost Rican Government and APM Terminals signed a $992 million deal for the construction and management of the new Moin Container Terminal at the port, representing the single largest concession contract ever signed in the Central American country.
