A longshoreman injured while he was loading logs at the Port of Longview Monday (8/1) was discharged from Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver on Tuesday (8/2), according to the hospital.

Jerry Bingham of Longview had been working in the hold of a freighter at Berth 6 when he was struck by a log being lowered by a crane at 11 a.m. He was transported to SWMC by Life Flight.
