Supporters of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union went airborne to try and get their message out Sunday afternoon, with one person apparently using a powered hang glider to fly over the EGT grain terminal complex, dropping pamphlets over the facility.
Security at the facility called the Sheriff’s Office shortly before 2 pm yesterday, reporting that a man flying a powered parasail was over the top of their building. They say he spent 10 to 15 minutes over the building, dropping a number of flyers. The man then flew off in the direction of the Kelso Airport. Deputies went to the airport and talked with one man, but no further action was taken.
