Long Beach 100th anniversary
It was a celebration for the history books as thousands gathered along Pier E at The Port of Long Beach on Saturday to celebrate the port’s 100th birthday.
With music, dancing and historical displays, the event commemorated, almost to the day, when the port officially dedicated its new dock on June 24, 1911.
