The Daily Astorian reported on the race involving ILWU Local 50 longshoreman Bill Hunsinger:
Port of Astoria Commissioner Bill Hunsinger [was] still leading Tuesday night, with the second unofficial ballot count showing Hunsinger ahead of newcomer Tim Liddiard.
If one thing is for sure, [Hunsinger] added, the Port will continue to be a working deep-water port.
