Cherry Point, WA
A proposal to build a port terminal south of the U.S. border in nearby Cherry Point – which could be used to ship coal exports – has not yet received a looked-for resolution of support from Blaine council.
Blaine council members concerned about the impact on air and water quality asked for more information on the port proposal when it came before them last week.
