A coalition of environmental groups will say “no thanks” on Sunday to calls for additional oil-tanker traffic on the West Coast.

The Wilderness Committee, Greenpeace and the No Tanks! environmental groups will hold a joint protest to call on the federal government to ban all oil-tanker traffic off B.C. shores — including the present traffic into the port of Vancouver.

The rally begins at Second Beach at noon. A flotilla of boats will leave the beach at 3 p.m. and follow the tankers’ route under the Lions Gate Bridge.
