Another face changed at the Unified Port of San Diego last week, as the city of Imperial Beach appointed Dan Malcolm, a lawyer, developer and former city councilman as its representative to the Port Commission.

The entire port board is undergoing an overhaul. By January, only one of seven commissioners, National City’s Dukie Valderrama, will remain from the port’s pre-2009 roster. The Port’s transition will be complete once port veteran Steve Cushman, who’s serving a rare third term, also leaves in January. The city of San Diego will appoint his replacement.
