The Port of Tacoma Commission narrowed its search for a new CEO to five candidates during a May 27 work session, after a nationwide search.

The five are: Brian Boyle, an executive with PortsAmerica, a terminal operator; Bernard Groseclose, former CEO of South Carolina State Ports Authority; Ned LaGoy, an executive with Sea Star Shipping in Puerto Rico; Ali Nikkhoo, a former shipping line and trucking company executive; and John Wolfe, Port of Tacoma’s current interim executive director.

The five are to attend a port reception in early June to introduce them to the community and to employees. Then the five will be interviewed, and the port commission hopes to hire a new CEO by July.
