No longer will John Wolfe serve as interim executive director at the Port of Tacoma. After sifting through applications from 59 candidates and following the examination of five finalists, port commissioners on Friday voted 4-1 to offer the Puyallup native a permanent position as chief executive officer.

The search, guided by a California firm, began after the departure of former Executive Director Tim Farrell late last year.
