Louis Dreyfus' Planta Timbues grain facility in Argentina was one of several grain terminals where dock workers went on strike.

Argentine port workers reached a deal on Wednesday with exporters in one of the world’s leading grains suppliers to end a strike that stoked supply worries and had driven global soy prices sharply higher. The agreement includes a 27 percent increase in dollar terms in cargo fees that a port workers cooperative charges to load and unload grains and a similar pay raise. Workers are expected to begin lifting the roadblocks later Wednesday. Trading at Argentina’s leading grains market in Rosario returned to normal amid signs workers were nearing an agreement with exporting companies running most terminals and ports. Exporters had halted buying on Monday.
