The mayor of Prince Rupert, British Columbia recently gave the local Rotary Club an update on the potential of a third ship calling on the container terminal in the near future. “I am confident that in three to six months we will have a third shipping line using that facility, which would increase traffic through Prince Rupert and opportunity for the workers.” Other areas of employment potential outlined by the mayor included … discussions with Canpotex and another group about a potash export facility on Ridley Island.
