Evergreen Marine Corp. and China Shipping Container Line on Wednesday will launch a joint weekly service linking ports in Asia with the Pacific Northwest. The carriers will operate six vessels, each with a capacity of 5,500 20-foot equivalent units, in a vessel sharing arrangement that will result in a more efficient and convenient trans-Pacific routing, the carriers said. Evergreen and China Shipping will each contribute three vessels.
